Cupid’s Arrow Valentine’s Day DIY

It isn’t Valentine’s Day without a little love from cupid.

I love “boho” style arrow décor, and that was the inspiration behind this adorable cupid’s arrow wall decoration. We see so many hearts during the Valentine’s Day, so I thought that I would change it up a bit! I love decorating tablescapes, and one of my favorite ways to make it interesting is to add height. That’s where the arrows come in to play!

These adorable (I’m obsessed) arrows are made from long wood dowels that I painted. I used painter’s tape to give them a color block look. Then, I used foam sheets to make the end of the arrow, which I believe is called the “fletching” technically???

Cupid’s Arrow Valentine’s Day DIY

Supplies:

Wood Dowels

Paint

Painter’s Tape

Foam Paper

Hot Glue Gun

Foam Hearts; or make your own by cutting the foam paper

Directions:

*Wrap the painter’s tape around the wood dowels in a few different spots to create the color block style

*Paint the dowels whatever colors you like; allow to dry

*If you can’t find pre-cut hearts, you can make your own by cutting them out with the foam sheets

*To make the end of the of the arrow, cut the sheet so that it is a rectangle; fold it in half lengthwise and cut the top and bottom on an angle to create the overall shape; then, while still folded, cut slits into the foam sheets to create a fringed look; please see pictures below for an example!

*Use a hot glue gun to attach the foam to the wood dowels

*Hang them on the wall! I simply placed these ones on small nails that I hammered into the wall; it helps to use a level to make sure they are even
