Happy Hour Cocktail Share with The Modern Day Girlfriend Creator Arianna
I am so excited to do this Happy Hour Cocktail share with a really fun and inspiring creator! Arianna Thomopoulos started the gorgeous site The Modern Day Girlfriend, which is really a one-stop-shop for all young women out there. She covers everything from how to wear a crop top to a wedding to how to make a DIY bacon bouquet for Father's Day. Arianna has an edgy yet sophisticated fashion-sense, which also comes out in the style of the site.
Ari and I are both super busy, hardworking, "modern day girlfriends," who can't seem to find a perfect time to get together to have a drink, which we both need by the time Friday (or Tuesday) rolls around. So, we actually came up with a cute idea that involves work AND cocktails with a Happy Hour cocktail share. Summer is coming to an end, and we wanted to share what our favorite cocktails have been this summer. We hope that this inspires you to get your girlfriends, boyfriends, any friends, to get together, have have a cocktail, and forget any worries.
I am sharing Ari's drink! For my Pineapple, lime, and mint cocktail, head over to The Modern Day Girlfriend's site!

Grapefruit Blueberry Ginger Fizz
I can’t believe that summer has already come and gone! Is it just me or does it seem as you get older time just flies by. I recently walked into a store and noticed that they were already getting ready the fall holidays. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE fall but there is something about enjoying a nice refreshing cocktail on a hot summer day.
Which lead me to come up with one of my favorite end of summer cocktails. This light and refreshing cocktail is a perfect way to welcome in fall. Gentle on the “boozy” punch, each sip of my Grapefruit Blueberry Ginger Fizz is a fresh reminder to take the time to enjoy life’s moments and each other. I hope you take the time to do so and enjoy this drinks as much as I do.
Servings size 1
½ cup of Blueberries
1 thin slice of Ginger (skinned & thinly sliced, see picture)
3 Mint leaves (torn)
1 oz. Tito’s Vodka
½ can of Grapefruit La Croix
¼ cup of Grapefruit Juice
In a small glass muddle together the blueberries, mint, ginger and vodka, let sit for about 5 minutes. (This helps the flavors build.)
Next, place ice in drinking glass and pour vodka mixture over top of ice, mix.
Now pour ½ cup La Croix and 1.4 cup of grapefruit juice and stir until combined.
Garnish with ginger slices and mint leaf, ENJOY!
