This has been a really fun summer filled with a ton of activities! From traveling to the Midwest, to days at the beach here in Southern California, there hasn’t been a dull moment. With a two-year-old son, I try to keep him as busy as possible- or should I say, he keeps me as busy as possible? My husband and I love to take him out and about to new places as much as we can. Now, he is getting into watching movies, and remembering the characters, and songs! It’s really fun and entertaining (to say the least) to watch him. With that said, we are so excited to be going to US Weekly’s Family Movie Night at the Grove in Los Angeles. It’s going to be so much fun because my son can watch a giant movie outside, while also running around playing games, and having snacks. The event is Thursday, August 20, at 6:30 pm, and, if you live in the Los Angeles, area you should go! We will be there too! The event is open to the public, and it will be a fun place for kids to play and parents to eat, and there is a good chance I will pop into a store to buy something new!

Even though summer has been a lot of fun, my husband and I have had a hard time securing a babysitter, because everyone is busy with their own summer trips, going to summer camps, etc. So, we have created our own date night at home. My husband LOVES popcorn, especially kettle corn, and I’m a fan of anything with butter. Once our son goes to sleep, and we are ready to relax, and spend time together, we quickly pop up some Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Theater Butter popcorn. In just a few minutes, our snack is ready and we get to cuddle up to watch a movie. It is one of the quiet and sacred times we get to spend together before the craziness starts all over the next day!
