Whiskey Lemonade With The Modern Day Girlfriend Arianna Thomopoulos

I want to introduce you to one of my favorite people! Creator of The Modern Day Girlfriend, Arianna Thomopoulos. We thought it would be fun to share our love for happy hour and write a guest post for each other’s site. I created some really fun Pineapple, Cactus, and Watermelon drink stirrers, and Arianna created a Whiskey Lemonade cocktail that both men and women will like. Enjoy!

Whiskey Lemonade

Lets face it Whiskey is typically known for being one of the more masculine alcohols you can order at the bar, that’s why when a woman orders a whiskey drink it often comes as a surprise not only to the bartender but other patrons as well.

Believe it or not Whiskey is actually a pretty popular choice among women. Although, I might not be one of them, I can’t help but tilt my hat to a lady who orders a Whiskey neat. I will admit I have tried to order a few Whiskey drinks myself from time to time but they always seem to be a tad bit to strong.

I once dated a guy who wanted me to share in his same love for Whiskey but I just couldn’t and that’s how I came up with my Whiskey Lemonade which was not only a hit with my girlfriend’s & I but my boyfriend and his friends. It’s sweet enough for a woman but strong enough for a man and just in time for those summer barbeques.

Makes 2 small glasses

Ingredients:

1. 2 oz of Whiskey ( I used Jack Daniel’s)

2. 1 Cup of Lemonade

3. Lemon

4. 4 Mint leafs

Instructions:

1. In a cocktail shaker add both your whiskey and your lemonade and shake until combined.

2. Place a large ice cube (optional) or 2-3 regular ice cubes in both glasses.

3. Pour cocktail over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leafs.

4. Enjoy!
