DIY Floral Picnic Baskets
On my segment for Home and Family where I made Salmon and Bacon Sliders with Peach and Cucumber Salsa, you may have noticed the adorable classic picnic table that everyone was sitting at. I happen to get very into my segments, and always want to make them look the best that they possibly can, so I set this adorable table. I wanted to share with you how I made these DIY Floral Picnic Baskets, because they are so perfect for summertime, and would be a great addition to a 4th of July party.
I love the classic red and white checkered tablecloth, because when I was growing up my grandpa always had a tablecloth like this for when we had summertime cookouts at his house. So, it is very nostalgic for me. To elevate this classic look, while also staying in the same theme, picnic baskets!
All you need to do to achieve this look is place a low vase, or even mason jars, inside the picnic basket you choose. I also lined the baskets with towels around the vases/jars to hold them in place. Then fill them with water, and cut down the flowers to fit nicely into the baskets.
These baskets are easy to travel with, so you can bring them over to someone’s house as a gift, or take on a picnic with you. I am completely obsessed with having flowers around for any occasion, and this is such a festive and different way to enjoy them this summer.
