I wanted to create a shake that had those classic flavors, but without food coloring. If you like shamrock shakes, then you NEED to try this. I added fresh mint for flavor and a little spinach for color… and it’s perfection!!!

Homemade Shamrock Shakes

Yield: 2


  • Ingredients:
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 handful, about 1 cup baby spinach
  • Fresh whipped cream for topping
  • Sprinkles


  • Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend until well combined.
  • Add more mint if needed for flavor.
  • Add more ice cream if it’s too thin of a consistency and more milk if it’s too thick.
  • Serve with fresh whipped cream and sprinkles for fun!
