Orange Infused Green Tea
Being a self-proclaimed coffee addict, one of my goals this year is to cut down on my coffee intake. I don’t plan on giving it up, but when the afternoon rolls around I am looking for a little pick-me-up. I have found refuge with green tea! On these cold winter days, I usually boil up some water and add in the tea. Another way I like to enjoy green tea all year long is to make it ahead of time, and have it stored in the fridge as iced tea.
Green tea has countless health benefits, caffeine, and a soft herbaceous, yet sweet, taste. I simply steep a couple green tea bags (I LOVE Yogi Green Tea) in a pitcher of hot water, and then remove the tea bags, and allow the water to cool. I add in lots sliced oranges, and ice, then allow the flavors to marry a bit. There is no need to squeeze the oranges, the slices will add in a soft orange flavor that really brightens up the tea to make it taste really refreshing.
Orange Infused Green Tea is great to have as an afternoon pick-me-up, and when throwing a party, as a nice change from regular iced tea, or water.
