Mummy Peanut Butter Bon Bons

Ingredients
 

  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter; room temperature
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1/2-1 pound candy coating chocolate; I like milk chocolate or dark chocolate
  • white candy coating chocolate
  • candy eyes

Instructions
 

  • Mix the butter and peanut butter together in a stand mixer or hand mixer until well combined
  • Stir in powdered sugar
  • Stir in Krispies
  • Mix until well combined and the mixture will hold together when you squeeze it with your fingers
  • Scoop out and roll into about 1 inch balls
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours
  • Once chilled melt the chocolate by placing it in a bowl over a pot of simmering water (aks, a double boiler) being careful the water isn’t touching the bowl
  • Use a fork to dip the cold bon bons into the melted chocolate
  • Tap the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate
  • Place on a sheet of wax paper to set up
  • To add the drizzle on top to create the mummy you can place the melted chocolate in a plastic bag and cut off the tip, then with a back and forth motion drizzle the chocolate over the bon bons
  • When doing this you want to make sure that the bon bons have completely set up otherwise it will look melted!
  • Add on the little candy eyes while the white chocolate is wet
  • Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature
